Sit With Us!
Sundeh Dinnah is much more than just food — it’s a ritual of connection, a platform for cultural storytelling, and a reminder of the bonds that sustain us. Eating together emphasizes that everyone is human, everyone eats. Around the Sunday Dinner tables, hierarchies blur, and it’s easier to see others through a lens of empathy and shared humanity.
What we're cooking up!
1st servings
SOUP + SALAD

Traditionally speaking, soups aren't served with Sunday's dinners, they are usually served by themselves as a whole meal traditionally on a Saturday or any other time of the week and is usually served alone.

2nd servings
PROTEIN + STARCH

Traditional meats cooked on Sundays are Braised Oxtails, Curried Goat, Fried Chicken, and a Fish either steamed or brown-stewed. These protein items are usually paired with Rice & Peas and fried ripe plantains.

— 3rd servings —
DESSERT

Cake isn't usually eaten after a meal but as a past time treat during conversations either amongst family or with visiting neighbors served with a glass of water or freshly made juice.
The Importance of a Communal Meal
Communal meals serve as a physical and symbolic gathering point. They reinforce a sense of belonging and unity. It forces us to slow down. Rather than rushing through our food, we engage with it more meaningfully, savoring flavors, company, and conversation.
